Apsara Dancing

The staple in the Angkor empire, apsara dancing was performed frequently for the royalty many years ago.

Few people know the true original techniques of Apsara dancing today, but here you'll be able to learn from one of the masters who obtained their skills through generations of passing it down.

Host 1: Sen Pich

With more than 20 years of experience, she learnt most of her Cambodian dance  whilst living in a refugee camp near the Thai border. With more than 100 performances - one in front of the late King's father - she is now teaching to all who wishes to learn.

There are a million things to learn in Apsara dancing! But don't fret! Our instructors will be able to bring you through the entire process slowly, starting from the foundational warm ups, basic techniques before the more difficult spins and poses.

Join us for a short introductory course and we'll get you up and prancing in no time! And not just prance, but prance to impress!

The Process

Host 2: Kean Channita

With a passion for dancing since she was 8 years old, channita took up traditional apsara dancing and never looked back. Today she teaches dancing to many and hopes to one day open her own school and bring apsara dancing on the world stage.
